Some of the industrial electric motors manufactured by GE include:

Small AC Motors

NEMA Premium Efficient X$D Ultra this family of products ranges from 1-350 HP. All motors are built to exacting standards to give you the best return on investment. X$D motors are completely cast iron, and carry the Six Star Bearing System™ which ensures a long bearing life. The X$D system also incorporates the GEGARD™ insulation system which makes it possible to withstand repeated 0.1 microsecond rise time/2000 volt spikes for 460 and 575 line voltages.

Industries where you find NEMA Premium Efficient X$D Ultra motors are oil and gas; power and energy; mining and minerals; water and wastewater; cement; pulp and paper; metals; and chemicals.

Pump Motors - Ultra Series Vertical Pump motors give the customer all of the benefits of the rugged and reliable X$D Ultra materials which include advanced thrust and cooling technologies. These Ultra motors are completely NEMA Premium efficient and they meet all IEEE 841 levels with a full cast iron frame, inline, high thrust, space heaters, and a non-reverse ratchet.

Small DC Motors

Direct-current (DC) motors built by GE set the standard for electric motors today. These motors are built to perform with reliability and durability unsurpassed. All DC motors are designed to meet NEMA specifications. Special features include low maintenance TIG welded commutator risers, and TREC® Field Coils which differentiate GE's DC products from all others. These add to the dependability of each DC motor.

Wind Pitch Motors are machines built for the most challenging of environments. Where high vibration, extreme temperatures, and high humidity are a problem, wind pitch motors are the solution. GE provides custom DC motor designs for wind pitch blade positioning.Since 2006, DC wind pitch motors have been used and there are over 30,000 motors in service.
